Can't get into any BearShare pages!
 

Since late yesterday (May 31st) I have been unable to access any of the BearShare.com and .net pages. I want to download 2.6.2, and the latest alpha, but can't. The pages weren't loading at all last night, and this morning only the forum homepage loads, but it takes forever. To try posting there would be a pain in the ***.

Is the problem on FreePeer's side, or is it somewhere between? I can surf the 'net normally otherwise, so I'm sure it's not on my end.

The pages load normal... perhaps a local problem?

Yes, I figured most people are getting through because like I said I was able to see that some people posted this morning. And I can get to other websites anywhere else online with no problem, it's only the BearShare pages that don't work for me. So it can't be a problem on my own computer.

Perhaps it is a problem with my ISP, but then why only with BearShare????



A few minutes later.....
Okay, all is well now. For whatever reason, I can access .com and .net again.
Life-threatening emergency is over. :D

Well, it's later in the day and the problem is still there but not quite as bad. I was able to post earlier, but now it's very very slow loading again. Not worth the trouble going in for now. Must be an ISP router problem somewhere. Will have to wait 'til its fixed.

Well, the BearShare domain is not loading for me at all. At best the background color will load and that's it. It just hangs forever. I just timed it at 40 minutes stuck at about 30% loaded.

Don't know when I'll get back in (it's the only site on the whole internet that I can't access :confused: ), but until then I hope y'all don't miss me too much... haha.  This sucks.

You might be on the right track there. I haven't been naughty (lol), and being a VIP there I don't think Staff would ban me without a warning anyway. But I have considered the possibility of a hacker finding a way to do something like that. There are a few who don't like me... though I've never quite figured out why.

What do you use to view webpages with?
Internet Explorer?

Yes, but this problem affects Netscape, Mozilla and Opera as well. But I've had no real problem with it since I last posted here. I do get "locked out" once or twice a week, but it's only for a few minutes or couple hours. That I can handle, but when it goes for days, then I get a little concerned.

I would contact a Netscape official because I have used Netscape and I think it messes a lot of thhings up.
