-As a friend suggested, i went into safemode to try and delete the HP_Administrator folder that i was denied access to. It failed, however i tried something randomly... i opened bearshare to try and run it.

--The first picture contains the the regular "-- has encountered a problem...etc", message, so i clicked the "click here" to see the data report.
the second picture is after i clicked data report.

--the second picture contains the error report contents, perhaps it crashed cause i didn't have access to the internet, which i assume is the actual problem. however i thought i'd post it and get your opinion.

and yes i deleted all my temp interent files after that.

well....you know what I'd do at this point?

burn all relevant files to discs, and then wipe the drive completely clean, and do a fresh install of the OS...its the surest way to solve mounds of issues...you mention a recovery disc...are you able to do the above?..wipe and do a clean install of XP?

scrëw the repair...full clean install...

if I were you, which I'm glad I'm not because I HATE HP, I would backup, reformat, reinstall, then immediately download AdAwareSE and Spybot Search & Destroy, update them, and then run them....and find any other malware scanner available to try and rid your new OS of the cr@p HP bundles in...

hell...I'd just go get a copy of XP, download the chipset and other drivers for the MoBo, and throw the GödDåmñed recovery discs into a fire! (that's how much I hate HP systems!)

So yes i managed to fix it... i'm still using the old version, however what i did was i popped in the recovery disk AGAIN and this time it replaced the old HP_Administrator folder, that i was denied access to, with a new one. so far i've been downloading and things seem fine. -knock on wood- i hope i don't jinx myself :P
