Hi stephanie17, I don't know what you're complaining about regarding 4 year old posts. We don't offer support for your version of BS, since it doesn't use the Gnutella network. We don't work for any file sharing client, we're just a help forum where users offer support to other users for file sharing clients which use the Gnutella network - a decentralised network where people download files from each other. This link might help to explain the differences between versions: I paid and now "LICENSE REQUIRED"! Help! Most BS users here prefer the version mentioned in this link: BearShare has been sabotaged. If you'd like to try the BS 5 version then there are many helpful posts in the BearShare section: BearShare (Windows) If customer service have been no help but you want to carry on with your current version of BS, then I guess you could try Google to see whether other BS 10 users have had the same issue as you. Good luck :) *Thread moved from LimeWire section* |
The second link in the A technique for connecting with BearShare, as the first link is File_Girl's version which will not install on Windows 8. The second link is my equivalent installer re-done to work with Windows 8. BearShare 5 will lack the same messaging system, etc. you enjoyed with the 'other' version. Yeah bearshare 10 runs on a different network which is semi-commercial. Free users are limited to what they can download afaik. Wikipedia also has some information on BearShare. |
what do you mean to?;) i am new guy here. |
