*Blocking gnutella ... Hi ppl, My ISP has blocked port 6346 for outgoing connection, now my bearshare can't connect to gnutellahosts.com or to the other 2 clip2 servers, furthermore the most of the *ntella clients/servers listen on port 6346 so i'm kinda cuted off from the *ntella-network. Can somebody help me with some advices? |
If Bearshare can be configured to work through a proxy you can use SocksCap32 and HttpTunnel to tunnel the port 6346 through port 80. I have tried it with Napster and it works, no luck with Limewire due to a missing option where to specify any proxy at all. Just tell me if you donŽt find those programs and IŽll send them to you, but a yahoo search will do the job, it did for me. |
Thank you, now it works almost ok http://forums.gnutelliums.com/smile.gif except for the buggy http-tunnel http://forums.gnutelliums.com/smile.gif |
Btw. with the combination of the both programs you actually don't need to have proxy settings in the program you are going to tunnel(because of sockscap), however 10x again http://forums.gnutelliums.com/smile.gif |
