*Still Uploading?? Hi How comes that even if I set the "Share files to ... persons with up to ... max per person" both to 0 there are still new downloads starting?? Can't Bearshare count? Regards, Oppossum |
Maybe it doesn't allow freeloading;) |
With my 2.8 gigs in about 900 files I regularly share I don't count myself as a freeloader. Most peers I see share less. Why I cut down slowly to 0 is in ordner to stop new clients from coming in if I'm going to use the bandwith in a while. I can also uncheck the box "share files". This would mean that my files are "no longer shared". By putting the number to 0 and then again up, the clients that have my files on their waiting-list ("busy") have a new chance to get the files without a new search. |
I wasnt having a dig at you mate:) It was a failed attempt at humour,no offence meant:) |
no problem I didn't get your answer wrong, no problem. (it takes more to offend me, saw that smiley right behind it!) But I think you've by humour hit the right reason for the "problem" (don't think it's a bug). I just wanted to show that setting the two options to 0 is not just for freeloaders or that they can freeload anyway by unchecking the share box. It's not a bad thing to set them to zero (at least if you're doing it temporarily) - it helps people find their files even if you are busy elsewhere. Bye, oppossum |
