What happened with the forums on bearshare.com?
There is a message...
"THE FORUM IS CURRENTLY OFF"

It's been like that for a few days.
Does this mean there are no new beta versions? (last one was 5.1.0b20)

It looks like this is going to be a long term home for us. We're calling it the BearShare Expatriates Community for now, but will be expanding the scope to all gnutella sharing apps and changing the name once everybody fromn the old forums finds us.

There will be no more betas for a while. Once beta 20 expires, you can roll back to BearShare 5.0.2 without any problems.

The latest release of BearShare is so far beyond the capacities, qualities, general stabiltity AND SHEER 'RESULTS' that you need To Be Crazy To NOT use it for any and ALL p2p 'stuff'...

Since the 2.xx series of BearShare I have NEVER had a single problem with UpGrading to the latest version...
The entire process has always been seamless and with zero problems.

We came up with a new name for the forums. Now it's "Technutopia", and the link is now http://www.technutopia.com/forum/index.php?

…and ignore the troll calling himself "HTH", folks. The brat's still pissed that I spotted him on the new forums before he made his first post.
