 Please help me! I miss my bearshare!! Hey everyone! Can someone help me. I'm having some troubles with Bearshare 5.1.0. Whenever I try to open it, it opens and closes within seconds and then a message comes up that says that there is a Fatal Error:Unable to load library database. Reason:Generic Failure. As most of you can probably imagine, this is quite annoying and frustrating. I have tried completely uninstalling bearshare and reinstalling it but it does the same thing. I really miss my bearshare. Oh! I almost forgot! When it first started doing this I shut off my computer and restarted it and then it opened and worked. The next day it was doing it again and now nothing I do seems to fix it. Please help! If you have any ideas or have had this problem before email me at crazychick_cc@hotmail.com any time. It would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks!  |

| No I don't know how to fix this. I just thought it might help you to know that the majority of Bearshare related posts seem to be being made at a new forum. I'm not a Bearshare user. The wretched thing doesn't work on a Mac anyway! And a .......look I'm sorry I mentioned it OK

| some ppl either just don't get it, or are out to cause trouble.. sheesh...the link given was a very valid attempt at help...go there and ask the experts on BearShare whats up.. |

| BTW just a week ago there were a no. of Sticky threads in the BS Lab section. Seems as though a BS mod has removed them. But one had links to the Bearshare downld versions. Sometimes if one version doesn't suit you, another will!  (BTW I'm simply a very recently installed BS user.)

| haha sorry "Only A Hobo", I never meant to be rude. i did go to that site though and didn't find much better help there. I was a bit frustrated at the time and thought maybe you knew had to fix it, sorry I was rude. I appreciate that you took time to reply though! |
