Please help Hi - I've been a Bearshare user for quite a while now (almost 4-5 years) and I've never had a problem with it. Until now, that is. It has not worked on my computer for about 2 months, and any and all attempts at trying to contact the support people via email have failed miserably. I had thought that maybe it was my computer, so just recently I did a major overhaul, reformatting my harddrive, reinstalling XP and so on...and I'm still have the same problem. Maybe some of you may have had this same problem and could help me out.
Whenever I try click on Bearshare, the program tries to start, but then all of a sudden I get the following error message:
.\GLibraryWatchDb.cpp (#176) Fatal Error: Unable to load library database.
Reason: Generic Failure
Bearshare will automatically attempt to create a new database when it is restarted. Your old database files have been saved for possible diagnosis. Contact technical support for more information.
Obviously contacting technical support, as I mentioned has not worked. Any ideas why this is happening, and any solutions as to how I can get this up and running again? (By the way - this has happened on both versions...the free version and the BearsharePro version). Thanks.
