how do i get rid of porn perm on the searches?.....thanks

I downloaded movies and when I play them is porno!!! I was shocked. How does this happen???? It is not one movie, about three of them and I had to wait long hours for them to be downloaded

Lots of movies are misnamed for whatever reasons. If you check your other thread in the LW forum you'll find some advice for eliminating porn from your LW results (not sure what the equivalent options are in BearShare) .

In BearShare you can right-click on any file in a search or in downloads and get a Bitzi report.

When a file is deliberately misnamed those filters don't help.

Go by file size. If the file sizes are small, chances are it's a porn clip. Real movie files are much larger in size. Like Aaron stated, porn files are always renamed so filters won't help. Look at how many shares there are, if its that popular, chances are thats it's porn. You cant get rid of it. And neither can the P2P apps. There are always ways around filters.


edited: Full length movies are well over 700megs depending on file extensions. Tv shows etc are half that size. Think bigger in size when downloading from P2P.

When I type in a search all I have coming up is porn how do I block that?
