UDP and TCP firewalled
 

my bearshare is giving me the *****, slow speeds everything it used to connect now it wont coz its firewalled how do i fix it so i can not be firewalled

can any1 help me get it working

BearShare is not firewalled, YOU are....sounds awfully like you need to correctly configure you firewall to allow BS to pass through it

yer i don no how to, i use zonealarm and windows firewall how do i configure it to let it pass through

tsk tsk tsk....using two firewalls at once is a no no....so leave ZoneAlarm on, and disable the windows wall...see if that makes a difference...

not being a ZA user, I can give no specific advice on how to configure it...but, somewheres in the proggy there's gotta be a place to set up how it deals with BearShare...I would advise letting it have full access as ZA sees it...

i disabled windows firewall still slowwww s and bearshare has full access, i dont no how to un-firewall TCP and UDP and help from any1 that knows anything about ZA

You probably have your problem solved by now, but just for the record:

Click on Help (top of ShareBear program window)

Window pops up in browser: click on Firewalls and Routers

Next Window: Click on ZoneAlarm Firewall link

There you find instructions for both Automatic and Manual configuration of the Firewall.

Additionally, double check under your Setup - Connections, that you have the correct number (6346)
