Even when you use BearStart? You aren't using the crippled M$ OSes Vista or
Media Center edition, are you?

In Vista, you can right-click on both programs and change their properties to
run as an admin user. If you have that Media Center crapola, wipe the disk and
replace it with an uncrippled version of XP, preferably the Pro version.

I have a version 2.5.1.11 its VERY old ( Yr 2000?)... but I am not sure if it works... I had posted a question about my inability to connect to the network.

I know they are 'available', but that's not the same.

Reason I am asking is cuz I've tried the beta setup on three different machines now and come up ZERO, i.e. "Out of Date"
