Yankee Trader is flying high
Default Hi All,

Wow, I sure hope someone can help. I am disabled and I'm confined to my home for the rest of my life, however long that may be. So downloading movies to watch is the only way I can stay sane and distracted from the other unpleasant stuff going on in my life with this disease.

I have tried using DC++ for this, but I have poor luck with it and have only managed to successfully download a handful of movies over the last several months. A friend told me about BearShare yestersday, so I tried it.

I am having a major problem, in that no matter what I do I cannot get that last light on the right of the little status bar up at the upper right corner of the screen to go from yellow to green, signalling a ready connection for downloading.

I have disabled Windows firewall, completely uninstalled and removed Kerio in case that was the problem, and checked to see that my connection icon does not say "firewalled" next to the wireless connection in the Network Connections area.

Still no joy.

I use Windows XP in a very new and up-to-date Gateway computer with an excellent wireless connection to Wannadoo broadband.

Please, if you can help me to be able to download movies and thus entertain myself as the morphine does it's work, I would be very grateful.

Thank you in advance for any guidance you can provide.

All the best!

Yankee Trader

Reinstall Kerio, because that thing is not your problem and
you really must have some protection.

Describe your network hardware. Part/model numbers are important.

Even with yellow lights you should be able to start
downloading. Remember to right-click on what you find and
select "Bitzi Ticket" before downloading anything. No point
in wasting time and bandwidth on the worthless files
scattered out there. ;]
