Footbacon strikes again! I found a different source, downloaded and burned the programme all ok. (yay!) Only trouble is, everybody on it looks like an Oompa Loompa. Erm. The colour is completely off, orange faces and really dark. When I open the actual file on the computer, the colour is fine. (Not sure why but I can't seem to play the burned dvd on the computer) I've tried different DVD players and it has the same problem. If the problem is occuring when the dvd is being burned, is there anything I can do to stop it Oompa Loompafying things? |

Hey Footbacon, Try burning at the slowest speed and also there is a choice of burning in either PAL or NTSC, make sure your dvd players are either one of those compatible... Also you need to check if your comp uses DVD+R or DVD-R... Also the brand of disc can make a difference, I personally use either Imation or Verbatim... I have used TDK before and could not get them to work in any of my players except the PS2... So theres some possible explanations as to why this is happening... Hope this helps get rid of the Oompa Loompas lol.... |

Hi again, My dvd burner is DVD- and I'm using Phillips DVD-RW discs. It's doing it in PAl which is the righttype for my player too. I've just tried burning at the slowest speed and I still have Oompa Loompas. (Maybe it's because I'm trying to record WW & the Choc factory...) |

I've burnt the file! After uninstalling both Santa and Burning-Xpress, I only downloaded Santa again. I fiddled about with Santa for a while today and still got orange people on the burnt dvd. So, I downloaded Burning Xpress again and went for the slowest speed burn (first and last time I used Xpress, the sound was out of sync.) Just stuck the dvd on and it's perfect! |

It's happened to me once before with a proper DVD. It was a Terry Gilliam film though and expected it to be slightly odd, so I didn't really question it and watched the whole film like that. Wasn't until after I turned the dvd player off and saw that all of the telly programmes were dark and orange, when I realised I'd sat on the remote control and altered the brightness. |

Hi, I too was tearing my hair out when all of a sudden my DVDSanta stopped working and kept shutting down. After a lot of research and shouting at the screen, I discovered that by installing this codec pack http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...Codec_Pack.htm it removed all the previous codecs I'd installed willy nilly (I was getting desperate and downloading them all) It reinstalled all the latest ones, and now my DVDSanta is fine. I was a bit nervous about it uninstallling all my lovely codec packs but it seems there were conflicts between some of them and this pack has been tested so there are none at all. Thought this might help someone... :-) |
