Default This can't be right

Ok, the other day, after using bearshare with bundled ads for about 8 years with no problem, and having bought Pro about 6 months ago, I got the error listed below.

.\GLibraryWatchDb.cpp (#170) Fatal Error: Unable to load library database.

I uninstalled the program to reinstall, only to find that the only thing offered was the silly i-tunes clone (version 6.0.) Needless to say, since I paid for Pro, I felt like I should get to keep using what I'd gotten accustomed to. So I searched and searched until I found an old copy of pro, reinstalled it, and got the same error.

Am I being paranoid, or did Bearshare actually sabotage my legitimate, paid-for copy of their program so I would have to pay for version 6 or go without?

Questions are these:

1. Is this an error anyone's had any success eliminating?
2. Will I still be able to use bearshare pro (I have my keyword)
3. Are the days of using bearshare to get my music gone? Thanks

go to :\root\program files\BearShare\db and delete the library files...all of them...this should do the trick..

you are probably being paranoid...I've had this happen a few times myself, and the above procedure solved the problem for me
