Problems with bearshare
 

Hi everyone,
I came accross this forum when I was searching for the answers to my problems.
I am supposed to be a Bearshare Pro User. I noticed the update a while ago, updated it to 6 and absolutely hated the program. It was unuseable and by the look of it, I could only really use it if I was in the US and I am in Australia.
So I uninstalled it and put my old Bearshare back on, it worked fine as I was putting it on to a computer where the key had already been entered.
FYI, I upgraded to Pro when having troubles connecting to the network - it would never connect until I go Pro.
Anyway, I got a new computer yesterday, installed the old version of Pro and requested a key. I got nothing. I requested another key. Still nothing. I tried my old keys, they won't work. I emailed them, and got nothing.
Why won't it work and is there a solution? I am annoyed that I paid money for Pro and now I can't use it.
I had a brief look at the stickys at the top of this section, but don't really understand what's happening, but I haven't had time to read through the whole threads either.

The company has changed hands and you can expect little, if any, support for
Pro now that they have gone to that iMesh version and "rent" music for a living.

Try the b25 version in Sticky: BearShare has been sabotaged.

That's a bit of a pain isn't it!
I downloaded 6, the version you're talking about and it's a ripe pain in the butt.
I've got an old free version on here, which will have to suffice when it works.
