i'm very confused. i use Xolox and no1 seems to have any problems with it. when it was closed down a few people put out a crack and it's carried on. if you read the Xolox forum you'll find that it is a completely different world. There is no slagging of the program, if a question is asked normally a good answer is put up reasonably quickly and everyone is helpfull. if someone's version isn't working they first ask if they have done anything wrong - the blame is rarely placed on the program or the developers. It all just promotes Xolox and shows how good it must be.

However, today i decided to look at the bearshare forum because i had heard so much about it and i was completely confused at why any one uses the program. there were posts up saying what the 10 worst things about it were, about how it installs a trojan on your computer and also posts by an obviously egotistical developer who immediately attacks anyone who has anything not completely complimentary about his software and he's defending what he's doing to so many people's computers. the program also seems to not work a lot. by the sounds of it he also moderates his forums on his site with an iron rod - anything he doesn't like goes!

All i can say is why oh why do you put up with it when there are so much better programs - ok so xolox is only for non modem users but still, those that use one muct be able to find a better alternative to this

all i have to say about the trojan is it was One beta version. Beta 7. it was also in other clients as well.
