question about spybot S&D and windows defender

I had spybot S&D but I installed it and got windows defender this is silly but can I have both if not witch is better?

Use both, I use about 8 or 9 different anti-malware products, each catering for a particular type of threat.

BTW, there is "NO" best, each product targets specific malware.
