P2P Attacks, Part Deux The attacks have picked up again, after something of a lull (thanks largely to Peer Guardian 2, I believe - thanks for that, Peerless). At this point, I'm being slammed by several addresses belonging to RIPE NCC, which is apparently wholesaling addresses to other providers in Europe and the Middle East. The specific addresses all trace to public networks in the UK and Germany (if it matters).
Admittedly, I know I am more likely to be a target than some, thanks to a fast connection, and almost 100gb of shared files. Nevertheless, it is still annoying. When I see an address pop up, I manually enter it into PG2, and that stops it for a bit. If anyone would like my new file of bad IP addresses, just let me know, and maybe we can post it out here somewhere.
Happy sharing,
