Default Bearshare Lite on Vista..

I downloaded the lite version, 5.2.2 and it does connect but sometimes it shuts down.
What is happening though, is that it now looks different. Buttons look bunched up and in color black, making them hard to read.
Maybe I should change some settings?
Thanks.
Angie

I think settng it to run in XP compatibility mode will clear that up.

Right-click on BearShare.exe and you'll find software compatibility settings
in the Properties page.

Arrow Problem...

I did try changing the .exe to windows xp but I am still having problems.
I has been shutting off during downloads.
Also, the display of search..download toolbar is bunched up so the options can't be read.
Thanks.

after changing the properties to compatibility mode and run as administrator, it worked fine.. but then, when i tried uploading a new library folder (for music uploading) it shutsdown again.. i noticed that the new folder that i added in the library contains other file types other than .mp3 (such as .flv & itunes folder, etc..) so what i did was just erased all the other files, other than the mp3's and bearshare worked once more...

Vista tends to crash the Library screen. Make sure all the branches in the tree view on
the left are closed and "My Folders" is highlighted, then disable the Library view entirely.

So is your installation of Bearshare is still running OK on your Vista machine or have you had problems? What version of BSLite are you running? I want to install BSLite on my Vista Ultimate laptop but I don't want my laptop to get screwed up. I have BSLite on my XP box and it runs just fine.
