Color console program repeat the last used command

Hi
Any one have an idea how can I repeat the last command that was used on Color console program ?
In DOS for instance we use upper arrow

I don't know the program in question. What code does it use? If you can find that out, it should be easy to find the answer or code a redo using an if something fails or succeeds condition.
