I open my mobile phone and turn on Bluetooth on it.

I insert the adaptor card in the slot on the front of my laptop.

The memory card is not removed from the mobile phone.

Then I click on the bluetooth icon in MY COMPUTER folder on my laptop.

I then transfer the photos from the phone to the laptop.

(I use Windows 8.1)

Now, suddenly I keep getting the notice "FTP LOST CONNECTION".

Why?

FTP is correctly installed on my computer.

The mind boggles!

Please, please, help me, am awfully frustrated by computer navigation at my advanced age.

Correction to my problem sent earlier this evening re: FTP Connection.

Just realized that my FTP Connection is not on and that I might as well do without it, as downloading of my photos from mobile phone to laptop was working well without FTP.

So what's wrong with the system now?!

But are the photos being transferred? Double-check.
The error message might be due to bluetooth being the chosen protocol and FTP being cancelled by the system. FTP might have been the default.

Some bluetooth cards can be faulty & should probably be replaced on warranty.

I don't use bluetooth on this particular computer of mine because this particular bluetooth is not reliable. I gave up on the wireless keyboard & mouse several years ago. However, I have not had any issues transferring files via bluetooth including lately. Keep in mind I'm a Mac user.

About 6 or 7 years ago I received photos via Bluetooth that came from someone who was probably in a nearby shop or its private car park lol. (I was living behind the shopping street.)

The long and the short of the story is that my computer crashed and I had to call in the tech for re-formating.

All is working well now. Bluetooth to transfer photos from mobile phone to laptop is not giving me trouble anymore.
