Desktop icons troubleshooting My desktop icons open on a black background, which I find annoying. How to get rid of the black and make the icons open on a transparent background? My desktop background is sky blue, so why are the icons opening on black? Can you kindly suggest an easy and straightforward method to solve this problem, please? I am on Windows 10 and my PC is a laptop ACER model. Thank you beforehand for your help and patience with a retired civil servant. Joe |
I'm not sure of the answer. Have you checked your system over with utility programs such as CCleaner for both Cleaner and Registry modes of cleaning? Only options I see (Windows 8 only) are: Control Panel\Appearance and Personalisation Control Panel\Appearance and Personalisation\Personalisation\Colour and Appearance Once in Control panel you can type in the word icon in the search bar to find various icon options. |
