why dose pay TV have commercials??? if you pay 40$ a month for sattelite ,dosent that money go to the TV stations and support them?? so why do they still need to sell advertizing time???

i know its not good for you ,but i live in the contry just with my parents ,no other people around.....TV is my onley link to the outside world.

but thats not reely the point....id just like to know where my money is going every month....its obvious that its not going to the tv studios because there pressed for cash too and still need to sell commercial time to pay there bills....

maybe this would be a better question for directv tech support....

If TV is "your only link to the outside world" what do you use the internet for? TV isn't a "link" at all, it's at best a telescope.

You are the product of DirecTV (or any other TV business) and they sell you to businesses that are interested to place commercials. Those are the customers. Claiming that "you" are
their customer is merely political correctness. Do you have any idea how much money they make with the commercials compared to the membership payments? If people are willing to pay 500$ per month (just a random guess), commercials might not be required.
