i just bought my new computer and the sales man said it would do anything i wanted to do. so i bought limewire and now i can only download mpg. what do i have to do to download other formats?

You should not double post, it is against forum rules, and because I saw your second post first, which did not make any sense, I thought you expected someone to read your mind to find out what your problem was.

Now to business, LW will download whatever file format you want unless you have included certain file types in your LW filter that you don't want, e.g. wmv, mov, qt, etc. So check the filter to see if .avi, mov or any other movie file extention has been mistakenly placed in this facility.
