I feel stupind for falling for an internet scam but I did. This company is sponsoring links at the top of google when you search for LimeWirew. I was charged $34.80 for nothing. I really thought I was on the official LimeWire website. I am going to try and dispute the charge with my Bank. When I signed up, I never even checked on any "terms of service" or anything like that.

What a rip off! They do a good job of making you think they are associated with LimeWire.

i was charged £34.82 instead of £18.97 and i believed it to be limewire too...only it did install limewire now i want to know how i can unsubscribe as it was not as i thought it would be..and i only registered 1 hour ago and want my money back. i just noticed tho i paid for stuff i never wanted and that boosted the money up

You Were scammed, Limewire basic is free! There's no extras with it. LW Pro Cost $18.88US and comes with 6 month free updates. Thats it no frills. At the end of 6 months you have the option to sign up for an additional 6 months of updates at a lower rate, but you can keep using limewire for as long as you want.

Contact your bank/CC company and dispute the charges.They should have a dept that handles this type of thing. Get the official LW Here: LimeWire

If your using windoze uninstall limewire fron the add /remove programs in the control panel (Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove programs). The one you downloaded may be corrupt or have spyware/malware on it.

thats was what i actually paid for, i contacted my visa company and they said as Limewire offered a 7 day money back guarantee i have to contact them in the 7 days if they cant offer my cash back i have to go thro visa to dispute it..thanks for your info tho.

Did you try to explain to your CC company that they sold you something that you can get for free. You were decieved. If they won't help you, try to contact the site you bought LW from and tell them you want your money back.
