If it was a joke then my apologies,but when you have lived and seen as much as I have then you tend to get a little protective.Especially when you are a parent or grandparent and someone mentions downloading porn even as a joke from a school computer.sorry if I upset anyone,I was just posting my thoughts on this subject.It is something I feel very strongly about.
I agree downloading a couple songs will not end the world,but it can and does lead to more and more and that is when it becomes a problem and they are trying to keep any problems from arising before they do.So I understand why totally they have those rules in place. That is a recreation that can be done from home.

Maybe I should have mentioned that my son is in an all-boys school where there are 598 boys ranging in age from 13 - 19. Imagine they should get hold of a video? not good! And the suggestion as to the password? What's that all about?

In the end, I see that it can't be done and I've communicated that to my son. He can do his downloading from home where I can later followup on the history and see what he's downloading.

I am a mother and a grandmother too and I certainly do share your concerns, although thank God, my daughter has already graduated from college with her Masters in Special Education, and my younger daughter is, well ....... Anyway, you can always view profiles here in the forum, so consider the source.
