Talking Help!

New to this site, can somebody please tell me how to message people? The reason I ask is theat someone unknown messaged myself before and after chatting for a bit I pressed 'block' in error. I would like to chat to this person again. Is there any sort of history for such chats so I can talk to this person again. Many thanks in advance!

AFAIK, there's no chat history kept and no way to view it even if there was. Chat is a bit hit-and-miss at the best of times. Unless you know the person's IP address (bear in mind, it might not be the same as it was yesterday) or their username on the forum (in which case you can send them a private message), I don't think there's any way of contacting them again.
If you were downloading from them and started the chat, you could possibly find them again by searching for the same file again but it's needle-in-a-haystack stuff really (unless there was something unusual about the file concerned & you could recognise it again).
Hope I haven't confused you too much!! Someone else on the forum might have more clues.
Good luck!

Umm just one thing. I hope you have unblocked them!

If not go to options or preferences > filters > hosts and there is a window with your blocked hosts in it. If there is only one there.... that is the one! otherwise you do have a problem. You can unblock the host after you make a note of the ip number but this will not reconnect them to you as you need the port number (preceded by a colon after the ip number 6346 is one you can try.

Without un-blocking you will NOT be able to make contact atall (you may need to unblock all your blocked hosts. ... it depends how many you have

Birdy's suggestion of re-searching for a particular file is probably the best bet.

And I thought I was the only one who hit the wrong button. I was told I should press enter instead

Start >control panel >add or remove programs >find LimeWire, click on it. Now click on 'remove'.
(this is, of course, for Windows)
