need help using limewire

can anyone help me? Purchased Limewire when i had Windows 98 and now am using windows xp. When trying to download music i get a popup stating it is illegal. what should i do i paid for the membership and would like to use it

2 different things here... I'm not sure where you got Limewire from, but I'm suspecting it was not Limewire.com. Paying for the pro version does not make the downloading of Copyright material any more legal, although many people use Limewire perfectly legally downloading material that is not copyright.
