does windows come installed with sound devices?(question from green computer user)

no...but xp, or windows update, is pretty damn good for providing working drivers for most any situation...


as a fact, I've found the drivers for my Turtle Beach Catalina that Micro$haft provides are better than the ones supplied with the sound card...

sounds like you're referring to beeps from your onboard speaker (as opposed to sounds from your 'normal' speakers)..


this is not a windows thing, rather a motherboard feature..check with the manufacturer of your board to see exactly what said beeps mean (there are specific types of beeps...numbers, and frequency, which mean certain things)...

if you are concerned about your cpu (most likely being hot) get into the bios (usually the 'del' key gets you there at boot up) and find where the hardware monitor is and observe the temperature
