![]() Hi there, I just found this site a few days ago when I was looking up allcoolmusic+scammer on Google and I need some advice. I wish I had actually found this site beforehand, but I'm glad to have found it now, so I'll get right to it and explain my situation: In Jan 2006 I signed up on allcoolmusic to look for some rare songs. When I downloaded the software I realized it was Limewire (Sadly I had just downloaded LimeWire a week or so beforehand), so I requested to cancel out my account and I immediately deleted the software. I got a message back asking me why and I said it was a Limewire ripoff and that I wanted to cancel. They said okay, so I deleted their emails and figured all was well. I used my Mom's Debit card with approval from her first since the site said only a dollar. Beforehand I figured I'd search for some songs and cancel out my account immediately after. I shoulda told my Mom to block them from her bank, but I didn't even think about it @ the time since they said my account was cancelled. A few weeks later my Mom told my she was charged $20 dollars! WTF! I emailed them again and once again they gave me the why do you wanna cancel BS and I told them, but I never got a reply. In Feb I was charged again and I emailed them once more. They gave me the same ol' BS, but I told them again I wanted a refund and my account to be cancelled. They then told me I had to fill out a form, so I filled it out and they emailed me and told me to wait 2-3 days for a refund/my account to be cancelled. I never got a reply. I emailed them about 10 times within that time period up to a few days ago and they completely ignored me. I guess they cancelled my account, but a refund was never given. A couple of days ago I used the same form again and suddenly a new email from their site entitled Refunds@allcoolmusic.com had replied back and said that I would only get a refund within the first 30 days I was a member and that I was not able to get a refund becuz it was too late. I emailed them and told them it was complete BS and I said I wanted a refund no matter what crap they told me becuz it was their customer service's fault, not mine. I wrote a long email to this idiot and explained the entire situation and that I wanted a refund asap. I said if I did not get one I was going to report them and that if they do give me back my money I will leave them alone and not tell anyone what they did nor report them (Which is a crock. I'm going to either way). They haven't emailed me again and I'm about to send another form request, but I doubt I get the refund. I'm not sure though. I want my money back, especially cuz it's my Mom's money and she was quite upset about it. Should I keep nagging them about a refund/telling them I'll report them if they don't give it back or is there anything else I can do that will also get them to give me a refund? I'm hoping it's not too late, especially since their customer service messed up, but then again I'm sure they did it on purpose just so they didn't have to give me back any money. Friggin ripoff. I already told them that I'd hound them until they give it back, but I dunno if that'll work or not. Has anyone experienced this before and gotten a refund or not? I could use some help/advice. Thanks. ![]() |

![]() Thanks. ![]() I sent them another email. I doubt I get anything back since they're scammers, but I figured I'd try. |

![]() Hi there, is there anything my bank can do? I also gotta tell my Mom to block them from her bank in case they try to take out anymore money. I probably will just report them and move on. It sucks cuz I had sites like Kazaa and whatnot, but I decided to join their site and usually I google sites like that, but this time I didn't. Lesson learned for sure though! |

![]() Do as Peerless suggests & contact your bank etc. They probably have a set procedure to follow in cases of fraud. Some members have managed to get refunds from these scammers, there's a lot of info in this thread http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=44499 Keep in mind, if you decide to pursue matters directly with the scammers, you'll have to be prepared to put up a fight. They can be very intimidating. |

![]() They actually have ignored me throughout the 30 days I've tried to get a refund. Finally when they sent me a form the refund department said it was too late, but I'm fighting it. Otherwise they're good @ ignoring people. BTW, I did find this online. I'm not sure if it's fake or not: AllCoolMusic.com 701 Rossland Road East Ste 369 Whitby, Ontario L1N9K3 But if not I might add that address to the online report and to the offline one as well. |
