OK, i have been using limewire for quite a while now, i paid to get the PRO version and i keep it updated with the latest version. But im pissed off! when i go to search for new music that i want, all i get back is a bunch of bullshit links that take me to artistdirect.com if i wanted to ******* pay for music i would go buy the god **** cd! but i only want one track and i want it for free just like every other person that uses limewire! so as far as im concerned you can kick me off of this ******* forum for my god **** language but i dont care! you can take limewire and shove it up your ******* *** cuz its a crock of ******* ****! ****!!!! oh and by the ******* way, I WANT MY ******* MONEY BACK!!!!!

Did it, by any chance , occure to you that this is the GNUTELLA FORUMS and not the LIMEWIRE LLC. FORUM ????
So far to your capability to distinguish between the two !!!

As for the problem of faked files hosted by users using the Gnutella Network. There is no control of what people offer to share. Those files which are wrong labled are a bother for all of us. LW and some other P2P clients offer filters to reduce the amount of spam and faked files turning up in the search results. The problem with being redirected to other sites has been addressed as far as it LW concerns. The newest version released yesterday (4.12.4) prevents this from happining.
However, other then fine tuning the filters and using common sense, ther is not much else people like you and me could do about it.

The official line is ... try out the free basic version. If you like it then consider buying pro. No money back! If you're having problems with pro after updating from Basic, then try the options mentioned here: Fixes for Limewire

Keep in mind buying pro is more like supporting the continual development of LW than anything else.

I think that youn have got the wrong idea of what Limewire and all other P2P is. there is nothing wrong with buying a CD even if you can get every song on that CD on Limewire. I have used Limewire for quite some time now and if I find something that I like (especially unknown artists) I still buy the CD. Don't be CHEAP

As with all p2p networks, you need to work around any possible problems. And that includes spam by groups such as Overpeer. Those fake results by overpeers are targeting copyright material; http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...stionpro.shtml
