Angry One thing that really annoys me is...

whenever I download some songs from LW, I sometimes get songs that contain NUMEROUS GLITCHES in them. Last night, I was after a 70s song I had heard on a 45 RPM record many years ago, so I downloaded it. I remembered the name of the song, but couldn't remember the artist to save my life. Once I got the song, I listened to it, and although I got the whole song, it had a glitch in it. I know that sometimes the sources have glitchy machines, but still it would be nice to get a good recording of songs from LW. I mean, really. Is it that difficult to come up with ONE GOOD RECORDING every once in awhile?

Are you using the LW player? It's not very good & can give you skips/pops when another player will play the song fine.
If you're using the LW player, disable it & make something else your default.
Also preview the song, if it sounds crappy then go for another version of the file. Try to get the highest bitrate...should give you the best quality. Anything under 128 is rubbish, most people will tell you 128 is rubbish too:wink: so try for a 320 bitrate if it's there.

Some people just share yukky files.

I use WMP 10 as my default player, but yes I've been downloading songs with a bitrate of 128, since I still intend to put those on iPod (if and when I can ever get the blasted thing to work-it hasn't worked right since I updated iTunes [it's not the iPod itself, it's iTunes that's causing the problem]). I'm sure I could go for a much higher bitrate, and sometimes I do.
