delete WMP How do I delete Windows Media Player 9 from my computer? It came with Windows XP. I don't want it. I prefer iTunes. |
I don't know if it is really possible to remove it, but if you go to Start-->Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs-->Add/Remove Windows Components you can uninstall it but everytime you try and play an unassigned file the WMP installer pops back up. There probably is a way to totally remove it, but I don't know how. This should help though if you figure that out, because uninstalling before deleting is the way to go. |
I don't like WMP. But I heard a city or something sued microsoft for their media player. So they made versions of Windows XP with out WMP. I wish I had a copy of it. |
Make sure iTunes is the default for playing wma files & all other mp3 & m4a files. Then try uninstalling it. Else just make sure wmp is not the default to play any files. lol  |
I set iTunes to my default player for all music files. But i'm talking about WMP 9. That comes built in with Windows XP. Which I have. |
We know you do, but when you uninstall it, it wont effect your system. It just lays dorment until awoken, like the evil hellish monster it is MUAAAHAHAHAHAHAH :girl_werewolf: :dracula: :evil_2: :D |
