Default Adaware

I rebooted my whole computer. And instead of using mcafee I installed AVG anti virus free. But I don't have a firewall. Is adaware a good one. If it's even a firewall. If not what's a good free one that is really good and is used by someone on the forums.

AVG is a great Anti virus...Ad-aware is for spyware...For the firewall, I'm not sure but if you find a good free one let me know....Stay clear of Zonealarm though, although it's really good and easy to use apparently it clashes with AVG...
I still to this day only use the windows firewall...

I tried Kerio and found it quite hard to configure stuff, I ended up so frustrated I gave up...

I find Kerio is strong enough to keep up. I run two BearShare ultrapeers on each
machine, and no router has survived that yet… ;]

I gave up using Kerio as well. Interfered with my torrents.

Sygate works quite well for P2P apps

Last freeware version is here. $ymantec bought the rights for it and stopped making it, so their corporate firewall had less competition (they are using part of the code in it).
