Ubuntu Discs

My Kubuntu and Ubuntu came in the mail today. I want to know if my wireless usb would be compatable with Ubuntu or Kubuntu. Here's the link for it. http://www.usr.com/support/product-t....asp?prod=5422 . And I found out it's not a router. The router had the same model name. But I found out it was marked under something else. So please help. Thank you

It says it can't but I wanted to know if there was some way around it.

By looking at the installation guide it looks like it's a transmitter to the router

USR5470 Package Contents:

USR5462 802.11g 54Mbps Router
One (1) Ethernet cable
19VAC Power Supply
USR5422 54Mbps USB Adapter
Installation Guide
Installation CD-ROM

You will lose your wireless internet if you don't find a way around it

I don't know a way btw

My adapter broke. Not by the computer. When I picked up my laptop it was about to fall out and it did. Not the inside is broke. I ordered a new adapter thought. It a gigafast one.

Are you sure you want to install "Ubuntu"? I did that one time and when I found out I didn't care for it I couldn't get rid of it. I finally wound up reformatting my hard drive. Of course I lost everything on it. I'll never do that again. I've got too much stuff that won't work with Linux.

Hi, currently have the choice of Ubuntu or XP on boot, seems to be fine,so far, mind you have never had to remove ubuntu yet. As long as your folders and partitions are organiised correctly, shouldn't be a problem.
Sorry can't help with other problem, try the linux forums, maybe?
N2:)
