Dang it!!!!! 14 points seemed like such a believable-sounding value. It almost makes sense. Once you acheive the plateau of a forum mod, there was barely anyone ranked higher to award you more respest. Haaa. But that dosent seem like a attitude someone like Sleepy would live with. She's probably listening to Aretha Franklin singing "All I need is a little RESPECT, just a little bit." "Wow, 14 points. Now I can throw away any long term goals I've made for my future. When does the Made-For_TV Movie come out?" of course It gets better that that bit of video fluff. I tweaked the contrast & brightness on a copy of the orig pic so I could see the pup's outline better. I re-trimmed his image with a few Adobe tricks of the trade. Notice how he/she says "Sleepless" and "The Audiophile" with the appearance of using 2 sylables for set. the incredibly realistic timimg of the images that, dare I say it, rivals the video skills of Indusrtial Light & Magic. mentioning that "The Audiophile" is more than 2 sylables. If I could use a flash file for a avatar, our "Wonder-Pup" would be saying it outloud. The last comparison is a blatant lie of immense proportions. Oh well, getting it just under the size limit and getting some semblance of mouth timing was a perk. Notice the puffy, cloud-like "speech balloon backing". Lucky for me,file space kept me from your pup bragging on the respect 14 points elevates you to. HEH, one more thing. Doing a GIF anime from him/her without knowing it's name feels wrong on Soooo Many Levels. It feels too stereotypical to use the names Sparky, Scraps or Rex. Ok, the new, improved GIF. Drumroll please....... Last edited by marblezilla; March 27th, 2008 at 04:48 AM. |

You need to put more effort into the cropping of my dog. Those hurried attempts make it seem like a 3-year old made it. Concentrate more on detail and less animation if you want it to look in any way decent with this file size limit. You are in luck, since you found yourself one of the more laid back mods to play with. I wouldn't recommend trying it with most others. Carry on And btw, what's up with that giant Limewire commercial in your sig. Do you work for them or something? If you do then ask them to go back to v. 4.12 and work from there. Everything after has been a downhill route and will end up as a crash and burn. |

OOOOOOk, heres some pics This one, I used the sharpening tool to help define the hair on the edges. This one shows it partially trimmed. This one I used the sharpening tool on the whole dog. Something about it bothers me. Heres the all_sharper image semi-trimmed I have a feeling I need you to be a dear and send me or post a better pic. I can only do so much with a 100 pictel image. Either that or I'm just worn out after a long night. Heh, now that I look at my first test, the poor pup looks like I butchered the image. On the Limewire images, they're just some program images and a trimmed screenshot or 2. I was trying to add a filesharing theme to my sig....I guess. I don't know, Lime basic and this Pro Beta were the only sharing programs I.ve ever installed on any of my CPUs. My sis used to use the Bearshare freebie, but i saw all the Adware it jammed on ya. Weatherbug has the word BUG in it. Nuff said. Last edited by marblezilla; March 27th, 2008 at 03:44 PM. |

Well I don't have the original image anymore, it's on some disk or drive somewhere. Why don't you just keep the headphones. It is because you are trying to remove them, that the trimmed image looks so strange. My dog is very fond of pictures so I don't have many good ones. If you look at the pic closely, you can see that there is someone holding him. It's important to not trim the hairs sticking out, because that's what gives it personality. Who knows.. Maybe if you do a good job on it, use better colors and dump the attempt to make it speak, I might just exchange it and use for a new Avatar. |

Yea, the more I look at the mouth movements, the more they look kinda cheesy. That, and I was never really really pleased with the text balloons. There's not enough room over fido's bod to make it look kosher. I really had to trim the with to not drastically block his upper-face. Might as well focus on a better quality image and maybe a nice fade-in of your name and title. I'll play with Adobe's sharpening filters and related tools. It's all a good thing. Every time one isn't satisfied with the final quality, it just means that we get more practice boning up on a softwares special features. Besides, if I didn't want to something nice with some Pizzaz, I wouldn't have tried in the first place. I didn't even flash on the fact that the lack of ear symmetry was caused by headphones. Are his ears usually sticking up, like triangles, or are they longer and droop? I forgot if I mentioned it, what's it's name? Fido sounds kinda foolish. So much of the headphone is too dark to distinguish from Gizmo and so much of the upper part is cut out. I was going to maybe add a headphone Png image and make the upper cross-piece arc lower so it barely sits above Gizmo's head. The pre-testing didn't turn out too bad. Now if Gizmo is growling, saying: "Hey, that pic was a classic. How dare he change my favorite headset! it's like Ted Turner colorizing old classic movies!!!!" Don't let him see this alternative ear visual upgrade. I looked on-line for a collie pic that was close to his. I assumed he's a collie or a border-collie breed. I saved 1 or 2 semi-close images. I then stole their ears, adjusted their color and gave Gizmo some plastic surgery. I believe that I'm going to Copyright Hell when I die. lucky 4 me, if he thinks new ears sounds like a genetic disaster, he can't bite me over the Internet. Heh. I'm not sure if I'm going on the wrong path towards puppy-perfection, or Adobe accomplishment. Last edited by marblezilla; March 28th, 2008 at 06:46 AM. |
