Try to make your post descriptive, specific, and clear so members can quickly and efficiently help you. To aid helpers in solving download/upload problems, LimeWire and Frostwire users must specify whether they are downloading a torrent file or a file from the Gnutella network. Members need to supply these details >>> System details - help us to help you (click on blue link) Moderators There are senior members on the forums who serve as Moderators. These volunteers keep the board organized and moving. Moderators are authorized to: (in order of increasing severity) Move posts to the correct forums. Many times, members post in the wrong forum. These off-topic posts may impede the normal operation of the forum. Edit posts. Moderators will edit posts that are offensive or break any of the House Rules. Delete posts. Posts that cannot be edited to comply with the House Rules will be deleted. Restrict members. This is one of the last punishments before a member is banned. Restrictions may include placing all new posts in a moderation queue or temporarily banning the offender. Ban members. The most severe punishment. Three or more moderators or administrators must agree to the ban for this action to occur. Banning is reserved for very severe offenses and members who, after many warnings, fail to comply with the House Rules. Banning is permanent. Please choose the correct section for your problem. 7. If you see a post in the wrong forum or in violation of the House Rules, please contact a moderator via Private Message or the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of every post. Please do not respond directly to the member - a moderator will do what is required. 8. Any impersonation of a forum member in any mode of communication is strictly prohibited and will result in banning. 9. Multiple copies of the same post will not be tolerated. Post your question, comment, or complaint only once. There is no need to express yourself more than once. Duplicate posts will be deleted with little or no warning. Keep in mind a forum censor may temporarily automatically hold up your post, if you do not see your post, do not post again, it will be dealt with by a moderator within a reasonable time. Authors of multiple copies of same post may be dealt with by moderators within their discrete judgment at the time which may result in warning or infraction points, depending on severity as adjudged by the moderators online. 10. Posts should have descriptive topics. Vague titles such as "Help!", "Why?", and the like may not get enough attention to the contents. 11. Do not divulge anyone's personal information in the forum, not even your own. This includes e-mail addresses, IP addresses, age, house address, and any other distinguishing information. Don´t use eMail addresses in your nick. Reiterating, do not post your email address in posts. This is for your own protection. 12. Signatures may be used as long as they are not offensive or sexually explicit or used for commercial advertising. Commercial weblinks cannot be used under any circumstances and will result in an immediate ban. 13. Dual accounts are not allowed. Cannot explain this more simply. Attempts to set up dual accounts will most likely result in a banning of all forum accounts. 14. Video links may only be posted after you have a tally of two forum posts. Failure to show that you have read the forum rules may result in forum rules breach infraction points or warnings awarded against you which may later total up to an automatic temporary or permanent ban. Dang it!!!!! 14 points seemed like such a believable-sounding value. It almost makes sense. Once you acheive the plateau of a forum mod, there was barely anyone ranked higher to award you more respest. Haaa. But that dosent seem like a attitude someone like Sleepy would live with. She's probably listening to Aretha Franklin singing "All I need is a little RESPECT, just a little bit." "Wow, 14 points. Now I can throw away any long term goals I've made for my future. When does the Made-For_TV Movie come out?" of course It gets better that that bit of video fluff. I tweaked the contrast & brightness on a copy of the orig pic so I could see the pup's outline better. I re-trimmed his image with a few Adobe tricks of the trade. Notice how he/she says "Sleepless" and "The Audiophile" with the appearance of using 2 sylables for set. the incredibly realistic timimg of the images that, dare I say it, rivals the video skills of Indusrtial Light & Magic. mentioning that "The Audiophile" is more than 2 sylables. If I could use a flash file for a avatar, our "Wonder-Pup" would be saying it outloud. The last comparison is a blatant lie of immense proportions. Oh well, getting it just under the size limit and getting some semblance of mouth timing was a perk. Notice the puffy, cloud-like "speech balloon backing". Lucky for me,file space kept me from your pup bragging on the respect 14 points elevates you to. HEH, one more thing. Doing a GIF anime from him/her without knowing it's name feels wrong on Soooo Many Levels. It feels too stereotypical to use the names Sparky, Scraps or Rex. Ok, the new, improved GIF. You need to put more effort into the cropping of my dog. Those hurried attempts make it seem like a 3-year old made it. Concentrate more on detail and less animation if you want it to look in any way decent with this file size limit. You are in luck, since you found yourself one of the more laid back mods to play with. I wouldn't recommend trying it with most others. Carry on And btw, what's up with that giant Limewire commercial in your sig. Do you work for them or something? If you do then ask them to go back to v. 4.12 and work from there. Everything after has been a downhill route and will end up as a crash and burn. |

OOOOOOk, heres some pics This one, I used the sharpening tool to help define the hair on the edges. This one shows it partially trimmed. This one I used the sharpening tool on the whole dog. Something about it bothers me. Heres the all_sharper image semi-trimmed I have a feeling I need you to be a dear and send me or post a better pic. I can only do so much with a 100 pictel image. Either that or I'm just worn out after a long night. Heh, now that I look at my first test, the poor pup looks like I butchered the image. On the Limewire images, they're just some program images and a trimmed screenshot or 2. I was trying to add a filesharing theme to my sig....I guess. I don't know, Lime basic and this Pro Beta were the only sharing programs I.ve ever installed on any of my CPUs. My sis used to use the Bearshare freebie, but i saw all the Adware it jammed on ya. Well I don't have the original image anymore, it's on some disk or drive somewhere. Why don't you just keep the headphones. It is because you are trying to remove them, that the trimmed image looks so strange. My dog is very fond of pictures so I don't have many good ones. If you look at the pic closely, you can see that there is someone holding him. It's important to not trim the hairs sticking out, because that's what gives it personality. Who knows.. Maybe if you do a good job on it, use better colors and dump the attempt to make it speak, I might just exchange it and use for a new Avatar. |

Yea, the more I look at the mouth movements, the more they look kinda cheesy. That, and I was never really really pleased with the text balloons. There's not enough room over fido's bod to make it look kosher. I really had to trim the with to not drastically block his upper-face. Might as well focus on a better quality image and maybe a nice fade-in of your name and title. I'll play with Adobe's sharpening filters and related tools. It's all a good thing. Every time one isn't satisfied with the final quality, it just means that we get more practice boning up on a softwares special features. Besides, if I didn't want to something nice with some Pizzaz, I wouldn't have tried in the first place. I didn't even flash on the fact that the lack of ear symmetry was caused by headphones. Are his ears usually sticking up, like triangles, or are they longer and droop? I forgot if I mentioned it, what's it's name? Fido sounds kinda foolish. So much of the headphone is too dark to distinguish from Gizmo and so much of the upper part is cut out. I was going to maybe add a headphone Png image and make the upper cross-piece arc lower so it barely sits above Gizmo's head. The pre-testing didn't turn out too bad. Now if Gizmo is growling, saying: "Hey, that pic was a classic. How dare he change my favorite headset! it's like Ted Turner colorizing old classic movies!!!!" Don't let him see this alternative ear visual upgrade. I looked on-line for a collie pic that was close to his. I assumed he's a collie or a border-collie breed. I saved 1 or 2 semi-close images. I then stole their ears, adjusted their color and gave Gizmo some plastic surgery. I believe that I'm going to Copyright Hell when I die. lucky 4 me, if he thinks new ears sounds like a genetic disaster, he can't bite me over the Internet. Heh.
