![]() hey guys, sorry tat tis isnt related to limewire, but i need to ask sumthing important... can my location be found out if i have a dynamic IP address? lets say i visited facebook and posted there .. can my location be found out by a large company who ask facebook my IP address and stuff a few days after i posted? if so, how can i overcome this problem? |

![]() furthermore... how can u change ur internet hostname so that people can't trace ur IP to u? is this possible? and will this affect my computer? what if i just buy a different internet service provider, say a new pack, will it change my host name? ur replies r eagerly awaited! thnx |

![]() Yes, your ISP can identify you and even if you change your ISP, your old ISP will still have you on record. When you post somewhere, be it here or on Facebook, your post will be timestamped. So your ISP will have the info that e.g. IP: 123.123.123.123 was being used by subscription 123456, which is being paid for by name, address etc. |
