Hello

Hey just registered on the fourm and wanted to say hello. If im not allowed to post this here or anything yet let me know and i'll post in the right section, thanks.

Simply ran into a new problem with limewire, and i've had it for years maybe since, idk.. 01 maybe 02 (not sure exactly, feels like ive had it for ever). I was deleting some programs that i never used but once i did limewire stopped opening and i didn't delete anything with the name of limewire or anything related to it and it stopped working (as in it wount open anymore at all). If i deleted it and re-downloaded it will i still have all of my songs on it (i have a hell of a lot of songs on it and listen to it every day)? I did a system restore several times to different dates and its still not working, any solution to my problem? Thanks for reading this hope i can get it fixed.

Deleting Windows Programs

Hi Justin

You know, one of the problems with deleting programs is that you may also accidentally delete a shared file, i.e. a .dll (or some such) that is used by more than one program, and windows has loads of these files.

Now, sometimes you may get an error message that will tell you which .dll file is missing, watch out for that, if you do make a note of the file name and where it is suppose to be, that is where windows is looking for it.

Then go to this website: DLL-files.com

Download the missing file, unzip and copy it to the location where windows expects it to be.

Finally, re-boot your PC.

I've run into several problems where I have had to download .dll's but when caused by incomplete installations.

UK Bob

PS. You've not said but I presume you are using a PC running windows.
