FIFA's "nay" sayers Well Guys It's quite obvious now that the "nay" sayers to new technology in FIFA should be run out of town because they're the ones holding back the game's progression. BBC Sport - Football - World Cup 2010: Fifa evades technology questions UK Bob |

The Unstoppable Germans Well The Germans have won again, this time beating Argentina 4 - 0. It was an unbelievable game were the Argentinians never stopped trying but could not breach the Germans (seemingly) rock solid defence. The next match that awaits this brilliant German team is with Spain, who put on a poor, but winning, performance against Paraguay. Unless something goes terribly wrong the 2010 world cup belongs to Germany. UK Bob |

The Dutch You know LTOR, I would agree with you about a Dutch Vs Germany final but, from the game I've seen them play against Brazil, I would say they lack the killer instinct. From what I remember of the game against Brazil, it was more luck than any kick towards the Brazilian's goal. The first goal for Holland was an accidental Brazilian own goal from a corner kick, the Brazilian goal keeper pushed (or collided with) his own defender who was going to head the ball. The ball still hit the defender's head but now he was off balance and the ball went into the Brazilian goal. The second goal, also from a corner, went to an unmarked Dutch player who headed the ball at such speed it could have gone anywhere. However, whenever the Dutch brought the ball within striking distance of the Brazilian goal they just could not shoot. I believe that the Dutch, if they make it to the final, are going to need a lot more than just luck to beat the Germans, they're going to need that killer instinct. UK Bob |
