new user, used to have limewire back in the day - copied too many dvds and burnt the hard disk! now im back looking for something new, im using an old hp laptop right now with windows xp sp3, 1.4 ghz celeron M, 512 mb ram?

any ideas would be appreciated

Of course there's other good clients around, such as Phex, ShareAza, the old BearShare 5, GnucDNA clients, etc.

For light-weight programs: LW prototypes-lightweight (scroll down to the Beta section), . Phex, . Gnucleus, . the old Xolox, . and . GnucDNA Based BLAckFLAg and Getchaman

These latter light-weight programs will use less system resources, be easier to run on an older computer system.

thanks for the feedback i ended up with phex downloaded it and played around a little. i like it im still trying to figure out the search filters though other than that i think i can make it work.
