Wow, 41C (105.8F) top and 40.3C presently for Perth. Could almost fry eggs on your car bonnet. lol Just as well for swim pools.

Here it's blue skies, warm but not hot. Pleasant day. Melbourne weather - local weather forecast Presently 20.2°C (68.3F), tonight will be 16°C and 29°C tomorrow. Saturday & Sunday expecting 33°C (91.4F).

I believe the english complain about it being hot when it gets over 20C during their summer. lol

Around freezing here. Yesterday it was snowing making me not notice a speed bump resulting in a broken sump, which may or may not be weldable (I find out tomorrow, whether I have no car until it's welded or if I have to wait at least a week for parts)

It's a bit nippy in San Francisco, somewhere in the high 40's (degrees F), down from 61 this afternoon. In S.F., if you're not wearing your jacket, have it with you!

Global warming is happening in all the wrong places. I'm tempted to run outside with all of my aerosol cans.

It's cold in London, about 2 degrees C.

I just saw on our news that the UK is having a cold snap & that London had ~ 7cm of snow

Yes, you are correct, there is between 1" to 2" of settle snow on the ground. However, I am staying nice and warm inside and not venturing to go outside.

We were once told that the U.S. would be "going metric" in measures of weight, distance, and temperature. I remember thinking that it will be very hard for me to adapt, as I had been using our old system through my entire life. I was 8 years old at the time (51 yrs ago).

It is expected that 5.1 million new televisons will be purchased today, for the 100 million+ who are expected to watch the Super Bowl (even though the S.F. 49ers will not be playing). Football is a rough sport, but no so much as soccer, which is so dangerous that sometimes even the players are injured!

As for Soccer being more dangerous than American Football is highly unlikely, your guys have to wear body armour for protection because your football (which is more like our rugby) is a contact sport while soccer/football is non-contact.
