won't open or uninstall

I downloaded 2.4 and now I can't open, run, or uninstall 2.3. It's still there but add and remove programs does nothing. I have Windows XP. Please help

If you installed 2.4 without uninstalling 2.3, the uninstaller for 2.3 was overwritten and you can't remove it. In fact it's not there anymore, - Windows just thinks it's there, since nobody told it, that it was removed.
