Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.

![]() Javaw.exe is the Java Run Time Environment. It has nothing to do with spyware. But since LimeWire is a Java program it won't run without the Java Virtual Machine (AKA Java Runtime Environment). LimeWire doesn't show as a seperate program in taskmanager - it runs within the Java VM (Virtual Machine). When Javaw.exe tries to connect it is, in fact, LimeWire trying to connect. Killing Javaw (or preventing it connecting to the internet) will stop LimeWire working (a lot). Mark |
