I guess you can't connect with LimeWire then (unless you get a gnutella.net file from somebody who can connect).

Your OS is your Operating System... if you are a PC user it is probably some flavor of Windows. The more common versions of windows are:

Windows 95
Windows 98
Windows ME
Windows 2000
Windows XP

Typically there is a full screen display when you first turn your computer on that will display the version or you can click on
Start / Control Pannel / System and it will be displayed.

Click on Start / Shutdown... to re-boot simply means to restart windows or you computer so do what you normally do when you shut-down then restart your computer.

This means that your computer cannot connect to the Gutella network... assuming you were on the internet when you did this (which is required to make the test) your ISP (Internet Service Provider) may have a configuration by which you cannot access the needed port. Contact your ISP or System Administrator.

Your ISP is whatever company you use to connect to the internet. Since that is dependant upon where you are and what ISP (Internet Service Provider) you use I cannot help you there. If you use a campus or business based LAN to get the othe iternet that would be somone with the Campus or Business IT group.
