To the developers... pls reply !!!!

Hi,
I first want to say how much I enjoyed using Limewire. So much like Napster that I don't even miss it anymore. I am now unable to use LW because as I said in a few other threads, I am still looking for solutions to the page fault errors that shut the program down everytime.

I see where the developers respond to a majority of the threads in this forum and would really appreciate a reply here.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?? Is there an update in the making?

Needing Help,
Skoozy

Skoozy,

It really sounds like a problem with your PC. The only known issue is where you are using too many sockets (100+). If you configured a large number of uploads/connections then that could be a problem. Otherwise, it sounds like your system has a problem. Does anything else behave poorly?

Thanks

I really appreciate your speedy reply. I am unsure of what you mean by sockets?? And the large #of uploads/connections?? What do I do to fix this??? I feel that I am at least getting close to a solution.

The rest of my system is performing top notch. Just ran Systemworks 2001 and reports that all is optimal.....

Pls. reply

Many thanks,
Skoozy

I think what gbildson wants to say is that you reduce the numbers of connections (for me 4 is OK) and the numbers of permitted downloads...specially for freeloaders ;-))
What are your values there?

Or...if you install an updated jre??
