Default help

i just downloaded limewire but it won't connect and i read the other entries but i don't understand what a firewall is or anything like that but when i click on connect it doesn't do anything and i am connected to the internet. please help me out thanks.

To get a decent answer here you need to tell folks (in this case)
- How do you connect to the internet.
- What type of computer system you have.
- Are you using a business LAN or Institutional LAN

... the more information you can provide the more likely it is you will get a response.

A Firewall is a device that can be implemented in software, hardware or a combination of both that is between you and the internet (in this case)... it allows only certain types of communications to occur... what and how much is dependant upon whoever administers the system.
