Can't connect when I click connect, it connects for a split second and then goes red. I just started using RoadRunner from Time Warner. |
same problem Same problem with Time Warner in Southern CA....???? |
connection problems I have the same problem with the new software running OS 9.2 using Roadrunner through earthlink. My IE works fine, but I get no connection to Limewire, though I could get one yesterday with the old software. It seems like everytime the software gets upgrade it works less well and loses functionality |
I have the same problem! I am also with Roadrunner in So. Cal. |
I have the same problem too since installing OS 10.2, up to now it has been fine. Hope there's a jaguar fix soon. H |
With regards to the person above me, did your connection work with a previous version of Limewire? |
RE: Can't connect I have been unable to connect today. I have tried reinstalling the program and restarting the computer, among other things. My ISP is SBC Southwestern Bell DSL in Southeast Texas. I contacted them and they report that they are not blocking gnutella. What gives? |
Yeah, I'm using Time Warner/Roadrunner in So. Cal. and they told me that they are not blocking anything either! Just wondering if it is a problem with the new version because I have never used any previous version! |
I'm having the same problems... downloaded vers. 2.5.5 today and it won't connect. Help!! |
Unfortunately I don't think it's just the new version. I'm still using 2.4.4 and I cannot connect at all today. I haven't tried to use it in 4 or 5 days. I'm on Mac G4 with 384 MB RAM OS 9.1 When I look at my Connections Tab, I see it trying to connect to the hosts (one at a time) that I've entered in my Options. Usually it is shuffling through a bunch of IP address. No more. My statistics say there is 1 host. It says that Uploads are being attempted. I will show 1 Download but when I look at the file, it will be 0 kb and then it tries to connect to other users. It's kinda strange that I'm showing Disconnected yet I see LimeWire trying to connect to IP addresses... I'm using Cox High Speed internet in San Diego, CA. I haven't tried calling them yet. Maybe I should... Any other ideas? Anyone... |
