Default Disconnected/No files available

Greetings and salutations:

I've downloaded, installed, and run the latest (1.4b?) version of LimeWire. On running it, I switch to the Connections tab and see:

router.limewire.com:6346 Connecting...

Fine, that's what it's supposed to do.

Except it never finishes. Worse yet, I doesn't even just sit there with "connecting..." The entire Connected Hosts window just goes empty after a bit. And I'm *still* not connected to anything.

I've tried several other hosts, all to no avail. I'm hooking into the 'net via AOL (yes, god help me). And yes (a) I'm on a 'general' login name and (b) I can successfully ping:

>ping router.limewire.com

Pinging router.limewire.com [64.61.25.139] with 32 bytes of data:

Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:

Oh, yes. I'm running Windows95. I think that's everything.

So, uhm, what the heck am I doing wrong here?

Thanks!
