Loading Options Window - then stops
 

Limewire used to run fine but recently developed this problem. When it goes to start I get :
Loading User interface
some other stuff
Loading connection window
Loading Options window

then nothing, no limmewire window

task mmanager shows
Limeshop
Wjview

I have uninstalled and reinstalled 2.7.13 a few times

Do you have any ideas ?

download the latest JRE (1.4.1) from java.sun.com.

Bob - I'll be curious if that works for you. It didn't for me, and I am having the same problem. I have even followed the advice to download spyware detection software in case that is the problem, I deleted a lot of susipcious things... Still it will not connect and will close as soon as it is done loading.

Two quick questions: Are you running XP. My limeware worked fine before that. What ISP are you using. I use SBC\Yahoo.

Do you see "Java Web Start" shortcut on your desktop after you download new JRE? That won't start for me either.

Note there are several people on the forum experiencing similar problems.

Hopefully someone recognizes the problem and an easy solution.
